Everything a door needs
Interior and exterior doors, from measuring the opening to the last coat of paint. Every job starts with a free estimate.
Door installation
Interior and exterior doors, hung plumb and level, sealed, and finished.
Anything from a single bedroom door to a new front entry. We install the door, the frame, and the hardware, and we trim it out so it looks like it was always there.
- Entry and front doors
- Interior and closet doors
- Pre-hung and slab doors
- French, sliding, and bi-fold doors
- Weatherstripping and thresholds
- Casing and trim

Repair and adjustment
Doors that stick, sag, rub, rattle, or won't latch.
Most door problems come from the hinges, the jamb, or the strike plate, not the door itself. We find the cause and correct it instead of planing the edge and hoping.
- Sticking or rubbing doors
- Sagging and misaligned doors
- Latch and strike plate alignment
- Hinge replacement and shimming
- Drafts and gaps
- Squeaks and loose hardware

Exterior door painting
Prep, prime, and finish for entry doors that take weather.
A properly prepped and painted door lasts years longer and changes how the whole front of the house reads. We remove the hardware, sand, prime, and paint with an exterior-grade finish.
- Surface prep and sanding
- Primer and exterior-grade paint
- Color matching
- Front, side, and garage entry doors
- Hardware removed and reinstalled

Measurements
For new construction and replacements, so the door you order fits.
We measure the rough opening, jamb depth, swing, and hardware locations and give you a written report. Useful if you're ordering doors yourself or working with a contractor.
- New construction openings
- Replacement doors
- Rough opening and jamb size
- Swing and handing
- Hardware bore and backset
- Written report

Handles and locks
Knobs, levers, deadbolts, handle sets, and smart locks.
New hardware bored and fitted so it turns smoothly and latches securely, whether that's a full entry handle set or swapping the knobs on every interior door.
- Knobs and levers
- Deadbolts
- Smart locks and keypads
- Entry handle sets
- New bore or retrofit
- Matching finishes across the home

Replacing old doors
Remove the old door and frame, fix the opening, install new.
When a door is beyond adjustment we take out the old unit, repair any rot or damage at the opening, and install a new door and frame. Old doors are hauled away.
- Full frame replacement
- Removal and disposal
- Rot and damage repair at the opening
- Energy-efficient replacement units
- Security upgrades
- Matching existing trim

Before you call
Do you supply the door, or do I buy it?
Either. We can source the door and hardware for you, or install one you've already bought. If you're buying your own, a measurement visit first will save you a return trip to the store.
How long does installation take?
Most interior doors take one to two hours each. A full exterior entry replacement is usually half a day to a day, depending on the condition of the opening.
Can you fix a door that sticks or won't latch?
Yes, and it's the most common call we get. We correct the hinge, jamb, or strike alignment so the door works properly, rather than shaving the edge.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. Call, text, or send a message with a few photos and we'll give you a price with no obligation.
Where do you work?
Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk).
